Girls just wanna have fun

And that's exactly what we did! Girls Beach Trip '08 was F.U.N. Yes, that's a boy you see below. That's our token 9th member of the posse. Dale has always wanted to be one of the girls and managed to find his way down to Myrtle to hang out with us a bit!

Highlights of GBT '08:

  • Dueling piano bar at Broadway. Sandi danced on stage, they served jello shooters in huge plastic syringes and 80's music!

  • Official beach trip shirts (worn above) that Leigh Ann monogrammed for us. Fabulous!

  • Weather, it was beautiful every day. The beach was hopping.

  • VIP treatment at Senor Frogs. Not sure how we swung that one, possibly Nichole's rack (she's the tall blonde)? We were hanging out at Fat Tuesday's and some guy invited us all, which meant no line to stand in, no cover charge, reserved area seating and free drinks all night. We were the only group in VIP, rock on!

  • Speeding ticket on the way home, ouch! The state patrol just wasn't willing to cut 8 women some slack.

  • Most of all - Wonderful friends!!

I miss these ladies so much. Of course, their solution is for me and family to just move back to Georgia, but I just don't think that is going to happen. We love our life out west, so maybe I can convince all the ladies here - haha! Ah well, 'til next year.....we are talking about trying a new destination, possibly a 4 day Mexico cruise.

Tried to load a slideshow of my favorite pictures (we took over 500!) but it didn't quite work. Anyone know a nifty way to share slideshows? Put a new album up to the right, check it out!

Good Times

I'm back!! Ladies beach trip was a LARGE time (in Sandi's words). We laughed, shopped, ate, drank, goofed off, danced and overall had the best time.

Off to Senor Frogs for some dinner and dancing. If I must say so myself, we aren't too hard on the ol' eyes.

You know you have a great group of friends when you can all eight get together after so many years and feel like you were just in high school together. It's been 14 years since our senior cruise and I could swear it was just yesterday. We've gone off and gotten degrees, husbands, children but when it comes to our friendships, we are the same now as we were back then!

Here we are getting a little jiggy with it at the dinner table. The DJ loved us - "Georgia in the house!
