First times for everything

I started this post a few months back, thinking I would make this a recurring type of entry. With two little girls running around the house, we are continuously experiencing "firsts". It was a pretty quiet weekend for our family (great coming off of a busy holiday season!) so here are a couple of "firsts" to share:
  • Camryn went to the movie theater for the first time this weekend. We took the girls to see The Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. It was super cute and she enjoyed dancing to the chipmunk tunes.

  • Both girls finally got a chance to use our street for some good ol' fashioned sledding. Most of our neighbors were out playing with sleds, so the girls got pulled along not only by mommy and daddy but also by the bigger kids.

  • Camryn went all day today with the same pull-up. She's been going on the potty for about 6 months now, off and on, but we didn't make the switch since they don't have a potty in her current classroom (childcare law doesn't allow a potty in the same classroom as children 18 months and under). So, now that she will be moving up to the two's room starting next week, we've started letting her wear panties and pull-ups on the weekends and evenings. She's doing great at telling us when she needs to go, we are so proud of her!

More "firsts" postings will come in the future. We are at such an exciting time with both girls, it's great to have this blog as my bragging place.
