It was so much fun to watch our caterpillars turn to chrysalides and finally into beautiful butterflies. We are definitely going to do this again! The girls enjoyed releasing the butterflies into the wild, even though they were a little worried about what would happen to them without us watching over. Thanks Grammy for the butterfly kits both girls received for their birthdays this year!
We also had a great 4th of July, Independence Day! Most of the day was spent at the club swimming pool, where they had a caricaturist, face painting, water balloon toss, rubber duck race and swimming relays. Both girls had a blast in the cannon ball contest and I was so proud of Emma watching her in the inner tub relay. She's getting so big! We spent the evening cooking out with neighbor friends and watching the beautiful Flying Horse fireworks from the back deck. We are so blessed to live in this wonderful country, thanks to all who fought for our freedom!

Hadley loves to look for butterflies so I think we'll have to try this out next year when Leighton can enjoy too. Very neat!!
